Industrial Workstation is a kind of HMI ( Human Machine Interface ) as WS series and PPC series. HMI system like general panel PCs applied with specific SBC inside are high cost and low flexibility solution. MPC series are panel PC with full or half size PICMG slot SBC systems which give most freedom in system integration and configuration.
Aluminum front panel meet IP65 standard for tough environment
The protection systems for the electrical motors in this environment are classified with the IP (International Protection) code followed by 2 numbers and, in some application, by a letter. IP - it stands for every kind of protection against accidental contacts of foreign bodies and against water. First digit (0-6) - it stands for the kind of protection against accidental contacts of foreign bodies. Second digit (0-8) - it stands for the kind of protection against water
IP 65's 1st digit 6 means protection for dust. Even the smallest dust can be isolated of the system.

MPC series is slot SBC system Panel PC for higher performance and flexibility.
MPC-50/52 series support half-size SBC system including pure PCI, PCISA and ISA SBC.
MPC-55/57 series support full-size SBC system including PICMG, PIAGP and of course the other half-size SBCs.
Analog VGA input interface support
Slot SBC system almost has video output with analog VGA but without LVDS or TTL direct LCD panel interface. MPC series equipped with analog-digital convert board to support most flexible SBC graphic compatibility. MPC series also has independent OSD (On Screen Display) function that let you adjust the monitor from the front panel.
New robust steel chassis for shocking and vibration requirement
After thousands tests, we choose ¡°Rigidity¡± as our new design center rule. Every parts runs at ¡°One component¡±, ¡°Less joint and connection¡± method to enhance the shock and vibration sustainability. Whole chassis is constructed by steel plate over 1 mm thickness, and designed follow IEI¡¯s shock and vibration standard.
High brightness and 50000hrs MTBF long lifetime panel
Industrial and out-door applications are usually set the hole system in high brightness environments. Sometimes luminance be reduced by touch screens or protection lens on the panel. Different form the commercial type panel lower than 200 nitts, our MPC series chose the panel brightness higher than 300 nitts and longer lifetime for more clear quality in above environment.
Advanced thermal and air-flow design
Thermal is the most important design issue of monitor, especially in industrial applications. The lifetime of LCD panel¡¯s front panel, backlight and inverter were directly connected to the environment thermal spec. After times of testing and discussing, we arrange the air-flow of MPC series and effectively lower the system temperature to almost 10 degree C.

OSD Function in the front panel
IEI MPC Series Product are with OSD function in the front panel, users can use this function easily to adjust the monitor such as brightness;contrast....
With this convenient function, user doesn't have to move the monitor or whole system to do the adjustment.
The biggest benfits is using this OSD which located in the front panel, user can change the brightness of LCD panel and extend the panel life.
